How founding seats work
- A one-time $100 deposit reserves a numbered seat in Ivory, Crimson, Gold, or Royal Purple.
- Your seat number is real — "Gold seat 14 of 75" — and goes on the founders wall.
- The deposit counts toward your first month. No monthly billing until the doors open.
- Founding pricing is locked for life. When a filled tier reopens a seat later, it reopens higher. Prices only go up.
Ivory mail-in, straight talk
- Up to 10 cards in the vault — graded or high-value raw. The vault holds collections, not bulk.
- Shipping is on you, both directions — your carrier, your declared value, your insurance. Our responsibility begins when your card is signed into the vault and ends when it's signed back out to the carrier.
- Every card is documented in and out — that's the whole point of a vault.
- Want a card cataloged, photographed, and consigned? That's a $5/card upgrade, credited against the commission when it sells.
Where things stand
The Houston location is in its final stages. Members hear the address, hours, and opening date first — before any public announcement.
Until then: the members chat is live, show-table pricing is live, consignment is live, and interim custody at shows comes with a written two-copy receipt.
The club is already forming. The doors come later.
The plain print: Founding rates shown; seats are numbered in order of deposit. Deposits are credited toward the first month of membership once billing begins at opening. Estimated values recorded at intake are agreed figures between us and you, not appraisals. Matador Club's responsibility for mailed-in items begins at signed vault intake and ends at signed release to your chosen carrier; shipping and transit coverage in both directions are the owner's, always. Onyx membership is extended by invitation and is not available for purchase or reservation.
